Lostprophet

Lostprophets is a rock band from Pontypridd , formed in 1997 . The band consists of : 

 

Ian Watkins : vocalist

Mike Lewis : bassist 

Mike Chiplin : drummer and 

Lee Gaze : guitarist

they initially side - project to hardcore punk band Public Disturbance . Lostprophets released five studio albums , with their latest release weapon that was released on April 2, 2012. They are also part of the Cardiff music sceneThe band has achieved two top ten hits in the UK Singles Chart with their single Last Train Home and Rooftops , a number one single on the Alternative Songs chart Last Train Home , several Kerrang ! Awards and nominations , and sold over 3.5 million albums worldwide . However , at the end of 2012 , Watkins was charged with various sexual offenses against children . The band canceled all tour dates and their future remains uncertain until the other members of Lostprophets announce outbreak in October 2013 . 

 

Watkins pleaded guilty to several actions in November 2013 , and in December 2013 was sentenced to 29 years in prison plus six years .
